...about Florence, Italy:
- The way the buildings look when the sun rises, or sets.
- Piazza Santo Spirito in rain or shine, morning, afternoon or night.
- The Vintage Man, the Tabacchi Grandpa, Fruit Grandma, and the Fruit Stand Man who say hi to me every. single. day.
- Walking everywhere.
- La Carraia Pistacchio Gelato
- Gusta Pizza Family
- Volume bar
- The way the light reflects off of the Arno at night.
- The smell of Secret Bakery at 2 am.
- The way the Duomo looks painted but is really marble.
- The Train Station/Trenitalia
- Cobblestone streets, even if I can only walk in wedges on them.
- The Italian Language.
- The walk to class through Santo Spirito, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and Santa Croce.
- Ponte Santa Trinita.
- The backroads.
- The massive, beautiful doors.
- Sunday mornings.
- Walks after dinner.
- Sunset, wine, jam and bread picnics at Piazzale Michelangelo.
- The carousel at Piazza della Repubblica.
- Edison bookstore.
- Wildberry croissants from OK Bar.
- The view from my window on Borgo Della Stella.
- Oltrarno in general.
- Santo Spirito market.
- Football {soccer} at Pop Cafe.
- My professors/teachers/darkroom assistants.
- The Red Postal boxes.
- Florence University of the Art's Courtyard.
- The view of the Ponte Vecchio from Ponte Santa Trinita in the morning on Feb/March.
- Crossing any bridge except Ponte alle Grazie in the morning.
- Florence's long shadows.
- The church bells.
- Cheap but delicious wine.
- Santo Spirito in the rain;on Easter.
- The Church of Santo Spirito's facade and interior.
- Mama's Bakery with American coffee and pasteries.
- The people who actually want to speak to you, and like to meet new people.
- Being a regular.
- Learning a new word in a different language every single day.
- That there is beauty everywhere.
- The Spring.
- Italian Oranges.
- ROSEMARY.
...about Akron, Ohio:
- My dog, Armani, is there.
- Fall-time.
- Driving really, really late at night.
- Closing/shelving the Art section at Bierce Library.
- ....
- Starbucks.
- It's home.
